Jason Jerald

Jason Jerald viola/violin is the director of the Orchestral Studies at Howard W. Blake High School for the Arts, Tampa, FL. He is a graduate of Florida Sate University where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education, Cum Laude. During his studies at FSU, he performed with The Manhattan Transfer, Three Mo’ Tenors, Canadian Brass, Joshua Bell, and Denise Graves. He also served as a violist in the University Symphony, Chamber Orchestra, Opera Orchestra, and the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra. He has toured with the Irish Tenors and vocalists Josh Groban and Ricky Scaggs. He has also served as director and guest clinician for several All-County events in Florida. Mr. Jerald maintains an active performing career and has completed his Masters Degree in Orchestral Conducting from the University of South Florida. In addition, Mr. Jerald directs the Concert Strings of the Patel Conservatory Youth Orchestra and is a member of the Tampa Opera Orchestra.
